Pandora - The world of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom
Princess and the Bear have been going to the new Avatar land at Walt Disney World's Animal Kingdom since opening weekend. We've compiled the rides and some drinks available in the land. At some point we'll do a food review there too but the menu is in the process of changing at this time, which is sort of disappointing because some of my favorite menu items have been discontinued. Once Disney is finished with that transition, we'll post that one too. In the meantime, enjoy our ride POVs from both rides available in that land. We go in the fastpass queue for both rides.
The Na'vi River journey is a slow moving water ride. It has elements of haunted mansion to you. You literally feel like you're on a conveyor belt. There's only 1 animatronic on the ride but it's an incredible one. Though I wish they had done more to the ride, if you want to know what it's like to walk around Pandora at night without staying until night time, this is the ride for you. MA EYWA!
We Try the m'ora margarita, one of the best strawberry margaritas you'll find on Disney property. They cup size has been reduced since park opening and the price hasn't changed as a result but we'll still drink it anyway!
Flight of passage is such a fun ride. It's like Soarin' meets Star Tours. You get an excellent immersive experience that you'll want to do over and over again. There is 1 animatronic on this ride but it's in the standby queue. If you get a fastpass, you will be able to see it but it will be through windows and the crowds so you have to know what you're looking for. If you can ever just do a walk through of the queue, absolutely check out this amazing advancement in technology.
